Arranging and aligning shapes

Bring shapes back or forth

Shapes in Vecta can be rearranged to bring a shape to the front or moved to the back.

There are 2 ways you can access the Arrange shapes menu, where the options to rearrange your shapes can be found.

  • Right click on a shape, and hover over Arrange.
  • Select a shape, hover over the Arrange shapes icon found at the top bar.

How to arrange shapes

There are a total of 4 options to arrange the selected shapes.

Send backward moves the selected shape(s) one step backwards, while Send to back moves the shape(s) all the way to the back of the row.

Bring forward moves the selected shape(s) one step forward, while Bring to front moves the shape(s) to the front of the row.

Aligning shapes

Align selected shapes to the left, middle, right, top, center or bottom of the selection box. Shapes can only be aligned if there are more than one shape selected.

The Align shape menu can be found by doing either of the following:

  • Select more than one shape, and right click on the selected shape(s). Hover over Align to bring up the menu.
  • Select more than one shape, and hover to the first icon from the right on the top bar.

Aligning left, middle or right aligns your shapes vertically.

Aligning top, center or bottom aligns your shapes horizontally.
