Modifying fonts and text
Adding your own web fonts
Vecta provides a number of readily available fonts to be used in your drawings. You can also add your own fonts through the Custom Font dialog. Vecta only accepts links from Google Fonts, so please check for font availability there.
Modifying font sizes
There are 2 ways to modify the font size:
- Click on the font size, and type in your preferred size directly.
- Click on the font size dropdown, and choose your preferred size from the dropdown list.
Vecta accepts both pt and px for font sizes.
Changing text alignment
There are 6 different alignments you can use to align your text. These 6 choices are further separated into 2 groups, the top row and the bottom row. You can mix and match 2 alignments, 1 from the top and 1 from bottom row. You cannot choose 2 alignments from the same row. Use these alignment choices to reposition your text in a shape.
The textblock tool
Text in a shape is called a textblock. Each shape is only allowed to have 1 textblock. The textblock can be resized without affecting the shape itself, or moved away from the shape. It can only be selected if the textblock icon is active.
