Importing images into Vecta (PNG, GIF, JPG, SVG, AI)

To import images into Vecta:

  • Drag and drop an image onto your editor

Acceptable image formats are PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG and AI.

Auto-resizing and clipping of imported image

Easily resize an imported image by dropping it onto a shape.

Auto-resize image

Image will be auto-resized to fit the shape dropped onto while maintaining the aspect ratio.

To auto-resize image, press and hold SHIFT while dragging and dropping the image into the drawing.

Clip image

Image will be aligned middle and clipped with the shape dropped onto.

To clip image, press and hold CTRL while dragging and dropping the image into the drawing.

To auto-resize and clip image, press and hold SHIFT + CTRL while dragging and dropping the image into the drawing.

Importing Visio documents into Vecta

To import a visio document:

  • Ensure that your visio document is in .vsd format
  • Drag and drop your visio document into Vecta

At the moment, only .vsd can be imported.

Alternatively, you can also export your document from Visio into SVG and import into Vecta.

Importing AutoCAD (DWG/DXF) into Vecta

To import an AutoCAD drawing:

  • Drag and drop your AutoCAD drawing into Vecta

Importing Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files into Vecta

To import an Adobe Illustrator drawing:

  • Drag and drop your Adobe Illustrator drawing into Vecta
